It is with a high impact level of excitement that we’re delighted to announce that Presentation Night featuring Bob Murphy in conversation with Tex Perkins is set to run through a crepe-paper banner and hold its very first show in the City of Churches, Adelaide, on Thursday 20th of June 2019.
Given that life is most definitely a cabaret, it makes sense that our South Australian debut occurs as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival program. Tassels are not required, but certainly encouraged. The venue? The Famous Spiegeltent. Fancy!
Former Western Bulldogs captain Bob Murphy is a man with a list of footballing achievements as long as your arm. Australian music legend, Tex Perkins not only has long arms, but a list of achievements to match Bob’s on the artistic front. They make a great team.
Together Bob and Tex will discuss the important stuff: what are the similarities between the professional musician and the professional footballer? How do friendships form in footy and in music? We take a look inside their kitbags, talk about who scares them on the field or on stage. We’ll ask Bob about his favourite albums, Tex about his favourite footballers – and much, much more.
